This is a question that all people must ask themselves before the conclusion of their life span. It may perhaps be the most personal one in the itinerary. Why do you think that it is so deeply considered by all of humankind? Seriously, it’s like we spend our whole lives trying to FIND out who we are. When you really think about it makes since.
Who we are and how we see ourselves plays such a major role in who we become? Growth, I believe travels with time. The direction of growth and the amount of time spent growing are both variables we determine for ourselves. Life is simple. All we must do is be who we want to be. It is so simple that it’s complicated.
With the ability to be anything in the world, we are influenced by the lives of those around us and those we aspire to be. Through experience we come to know who we are but also who we are not.
Sometimes we look for other people to help us along this path of becoming who we are supposed to be. Although there is nothing wrong with seeking guidance, we must be careful not to put too much reliance on other people’s opinion. Each one of us is unique. We have an idea of what we want to become and what makes us passionate. Some call this a dream.
You are the only one who falls asleep with the dream and wakes up the next day and chases that dream. The process will very likely bring you much stress along the way, but the progress is what will feel the best. Being able to look back over all that you have conquered because you made a way out of no way. I encourage you as you continue to travel down this road of discovery, when you make decisions, they will bring you closer and not further from who you really are. Be intentional about the things you want in life and trust the process. You are more Resilient than you know.
